Nikolay Kolachevsky graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) in 1994. His research interests include precision frequency measurements, high-resolution spectroscopy, optical clocks, fundamental constants, antihydrogen, laser cooling, ultracold collisions, rare earth atoms, methods and systems for quantum information technologies (quantum computers and quantum cryptography). In 2011, he was elected a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2014, he was appointed Deputy Director for Scientific Work of FIAN, and in 2015 he was elected director of FIAN. Editor-in-chief "Bulletin of the Lebedev Physics Institute", "Quantum Electronics" magazine, vice editor-in-chief "Physics Uspekhi". Author of 211 publications on the specialty from the WOS database, an active participant and organizer of a number of scientific conferences. h-index 21, the total number of citations is 2,898 (WOS).
