Andrey Sukhorukov is a Professor at the Research School of Physics, Australian National University. He graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia). He was awarded Queen Elizabeth II and Future Fellowships in Australia and Humboldt Fellowship in Germany, and elected a Fellow of the Optica society. His research targets the fundamental aspects of miniaturisation of optical elements and the development of new concepts for tailoring light-matter interactions in nano-structured materials for generation, manipulation, and detection of light down to few-photon levels in the regime of quantum optics.
