Prof. Junqiu Liu is currently a tenure-track assistant professor at USTC and a senior research fellow (PI) at Shenzhen International Quantum Academy. He received PhD from EPFL in 2020, MSc from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 2016, and BSc from USTC in 2012. His research is in the domains of integrated photonics, nonlinear optics, quantum optics, MEMS, and microwave photonics. He has published more than 60 articles including 7 in Nature and 3 in Science. His PhD thesis entitled “Silicon Nitride Nonlinear Integrated Photonics” was awarded 2021 EPFL Doctorate Award, “For ground breaking experiments in the field of chip-scale frequency combs and the extraordinary record of scientific accomplishments”. His research has seeded several startups.
